Description :
Gerbera daisies, or Gerbera jamesonii in scientific parlance, are brightly colored flowering plants that are prized for their showy foliage and enormous, vivid blooms. These perennial plants are native to South Africa and are members of the Asteraceae family. Typically growing in clusters, gerbera daisies have thick, hairy stems with basal rosettes of lobed, dark green leaves.
The vibrant and cheery flowers of Gerbera daisies, which are available in a broad spectrum of hues such as white, yellow, orange, pink, and red, frequently with contrasting centers, are among their most remarkable characteristics. With diameters of up to 4-5 inches (10-13 cm), these blossoms are a striking addition to borders, gardens, and containers.
Gerbera daisies prefer full sun to partial shade and do best on well-drained soil.
